Предложила ребенку устроить гараж-сейл игрушек, в которые он не играет,
решила, что будет такой еще один урок правильного отношения к финансам…
Сын загорелся, а я задумалась,
легально ли вот так просто вынести стол с игрушками
и продавать их за наличные? Или требуется куда-либо должиться-отрапортоваться?
Муниципальные органы? Ревеню (вдруг лишнюю 10-ку наторгуем)?
Или нет никаких заморочек, выноси стол и раскладывай товар?
Живем в съемном апартменте, но у нас возле парка жильцы стояли с тремя столами на днях, через дорогу от своего билдинга. Их не спросила… Может, знает кто?

У нас надо на сайте муниципалитета регистрироваться — а какие там нюансы, не знаю, я не участвовала
Вам лучше всего позвонить в муниципалитет и все выяснить. Для частных домов требуется разрешение и за него надо платить какую-то небольшую сумму, как это работает в случае с аппартмент билдингом, никто лучше вашего муниципалитета вам не ответит. или спросите у тех, кто торговал, если есть такая возможность
Надо смотреть ( или звонить и спрашивать) в правилах вашего города. У нас 2 года назад надо было регистрировать адрес и дату, а в этом году можно без регистрации ( просто выносит и раскладывай), но только в строго определённые даты, указанные муниципалитетом.
В каждом городе свои правила. Позвоните в муниципалитет и узнайте.

С точки зрения налогов — если вы продаете дешевле покупной цены — прибыли нет и следовательно ничего платить не нужно

Eligibility
Garage sale
A garage sale is a non-commercial sale held on or in a property and located in a residential zone, within the meaning of the zoning bylaw.
It is prohibited to:
— post signs outside the limits of the property on which the garage sale takes place (sign spaces)
— hold a garage sale between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m.
— sell any used mattresses, sofas or pillows
— encroach on the sidewalk, street or any other place in the public domain where motor vehicles, bicycles or pedestrians travel, or on median strips, traffic circles or grassy strips that form part of a roadway

The Borough provides residents with public billboards.
These billboards are located at:
7e Avenue, between rue William-McDonald and rue Notre-Dame (near the parking lot)
9e Avenue, between rue Saint-Louis and rue Notre-Dame
10e Avenue and rue Notre-Dame
11e Avenue, between rue Notre-Dame and rue Saint-Louis (municipal parking lot)
12e Avenue, between rue William-MacDonald and rue Notre-Dame (municipal parking lot)

Within 60 minutes after a garage sale, sellers must remove all signs that were posted to advertise the sale. In addition, the grounds used for the garage sale must be cleaned and any items not sold must be removed.

Any repeat offence: $200 — $2,000
Legal entities:
The fine is double.
Complaints Procedure
To file a complaint regarding a garage sale held on a regular basis, during a weekday, contact the borough of Lachine’s Division de l’application des règlements of the Direction des travaux publics.

Items listed in these bulletins include products subject to safety standards, such as baby gates, walkers, car seats, baby cribs, carriages, strollers, etc.
Sellers are legally responsible for ensuring that the products they sell are safe and in keeping with all safety standards. It is prohibited to sell a product that does not comply with the Hazardous Products Act; sellers are liable to civil lawsuits.
