Once again — in response to a heightened interest on the part of our students and their parents — we are proud to present two completely new initiatives (see description below). Taught by professional dancer and teacher with experience.
Preparatory Ballet for ages 4-6, Saturdays 10:00-11:00am
Preparatory Ballet prepares children for learning the proper technique for older levels while maintaining a fun atmosphere for kids. They learn the basic positions of ballet, musicality and how to copy the teacher while stimulating creativity and coordination.
Ballet for ages 7 and older, Fridays, 7:15-8:15pm
In this class students learn the basics of ballet. The class is traditionally structured, consisting of barre-work and center work including jumps and travelling sequences across the floor. Ballet is great for coordination and balance, flexibility, discipline and self-confidence.
Note to parents:
It is recommended that girls wear ballet tights and a leotard. As these can be expensive it is fine to wear something else as long as it is tight, such as leggings or shorts. For boys, we recommend black pants or tights and a white t-shirt. It is mandatory to wear ballet shoes. Leather shoes with a full sole are recommended. As the kids are growing, don’t be afraid to buy them a little big so that they can grow into them.
