We are currently seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Product Support Specialist within our Customer Solutions Team. As part of the CS department, the Sr Product Support Specialist will be an expert in supporting Nokia Messaging end-to-end solutions for our external and internal customers. The job involves supporting production environments for our clients (SLA’s with Wireless Operators and IM/email portals, Integrators and test groups working on the pre-production systems) globally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure incidents and problems are managed and resolved in accordance with the agreed service level
• Review quality and performance of the services with Operator using agreed review and reporting toolsets.
• Act as an escalation point in relation to any issues which require attention
• Part of on-call support team (24-hour support to the SOC for critical production issues)
• Lead root cause analysis post mortems and produce the resulting initial and final reports based on established service level
• Building and maintaining high quality relationships between the Vendor and Operator.
• Review of forecasts (monthly basis for 18 months period) to continually assess server requirements and any impact upon Service Levels.
• Review of measurement, reporting and achievement of the Service Levels
• Finding ways of improving customer services and/or their quality, efficiency and/or cost-effectiveness;
• Develop internal tools to assist in reaching efficiency targets
• Approval of In-Service maintenances
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• 5 to 10 years experience in an Information services or telecommunications industry.
• Possess good hands-on knowledge of Unix-like environments (preferably Linux or Solaris), routing and internet protocols, LAN/WAN technologies, VPN, Firewall, Security
• Must be familiar with J2EE environments, Oracle or other SQL DB
• Must have experience with network troubleshooting, script programming (C-Shell, Perl, KSH or other)
• Must have experience with or exposure to large deployments in a telecommunications environment as well as dealing with customer issues under time pressure
• Must have an interest in mobile networks and wireless protocols
