Product Developer
Location: Montreal Office
Description
West Monroe Partners is looking for an experienced application developer/software engineer to help develop and maintain one of our custom software products. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of full-time, hands-on professional development work experience, and will be looking for an opportunity to broaden and deepen their technical skills.
The position will take “ownership” of the highly complex FLEX software product and be responsible for development and enhancements, as well as providing support to our clients. The candidate will have the opportunity to influence the overall direction of the project by helping research potential frameworks and methodologies and applying them to the overall design. Although West Monroe Partners is a consulting company, this position is internal and will require little to no travel outside of Montreal.
Candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of the following technologies/concepts:
•C# or VB.Net
•SQL Server 2000/2005
•ASP.Net
•Object-Oriented design and development
Some of the technologies that the candidate will be working with:
•Object-Relational Mapping (LLBLGen Pro)
•Automated Unit Testing (MbUnit/NUnit)
•Continuous Integration (CruiseControl.Net)
•Test-Driven Design
•Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
General Qualifications:
• Some work experience with web-based development.
• Experience delivering high quality customer service.
• BS in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent work experience.
• Solid organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
