Lead .NET Software Engineer
Project
Team will be designing NEXT generation Tax Software from scratch for the largest Tax Software provider in the region. Doing PoCs and prototypes proving technology solutions, driving architecture decision becoming part of long term Solution Design Team (2+ years).
Team will gain unique expertise and experience in Business Solution Architecture during the project.
The ideal candidate will be located in Sherbrook, QC
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in requirements gathering, analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
• Develop general system design including internal and external information flows, current and future system requirements, interfaces and integration points
• Document system architecture including functional and integration components
• Document conceptual data model, key entities and elements, data transformations and conversions
• Create new programs and customize existing programs utilizing the following programming languages and development environments: Visual Studio.NET, C#, C++, HTML/DHTML, JavaScript, XML/XSLT, SQL
• Participate in the elaboration of software development best practices (code branching strategies, continuous build implementation, TDD/Unit testing, automated testing strategies, etc.)
• Utilize standard software development methodologies, processes, techniques and quality planning methods in all phases of work
• Facilitate effective communication between customers and offshore technical team
Desired Skills & Experience
• Capacity of defining a full web based and service oriented architecture. Practical, hands-on experience is a requirement.
• Capacity to quickly adapt to and to explore new technologies.
• Experience with HTML responsive design (responsive web design)
• Capacity of recommending technology stacks (including programming languages) based on evolution of existing to a new web-based/SOA architecture.
• Capacity of providing guidance for load and stress testing of web based applications
• Experience (deployment and exploited) with N-tier, service oriented applications
• Experience with communication technologies (peer-to-peer; client server and message queuing)
• Experience with database design and development (ex. SQL, Mongo, NoSQL, Embedded DB)
• Experience with embedded web browsers development approach
• Familiarity with Delphi is a plus
• Fluent English
