What kind of challenge would you be looking at?
You administrate a network over 600 servers (95% Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu);
You repair and recover from hardware or software failures – perform daily monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups;
You solve issues related to operating systems, application software, hardware and network on various platforms;
You manage the installation, maintenance and update of equipment and software;
You actively search for issues and solve them;
You ensure to maintain a high security level for all servers;
You create and maintain a detailed documentation of IT infrastructures;
You provide customer support and manage the internal LINUX infrastructure;
You provide 24/7 support coverage during on-call hours;
You design, implement and report on security system and end user activity audits;
You recommend, schedule (where appropriate) and apply fixes, security patches disaster recovery procedures and any other measures required in the event of a security breach;
You assist with the planning and installation of infrastructures and with the regulation of Linux systems.

You have a DEC in Computer Science
You have at least 2 years’ experience with managing midsize to large scale systems with Redhat, CentOS, Ubuntu preferably in an enterprise environment;
Are you also knowledgeable about?
VMWare, openstack and virtual environments;
Internet server protocols and utilities (DNS, SMTP, POP, IMAP, HTTP/S, S/FTP, TCP/IP, SSH,LDAP);
Experience with Virtualization;
Some experience with Windows server environment;
Administrator in a Windows XP/7/8.X server environment;
PBX / VOIP / Access Control;
Experience with Apache, nginx, lighttpd;
Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices;
Experience dealing with vendor support to deal with software, firmware, and hardware issues;
Experience in supporting LAN/WAN and wireless networks;
Experience with monitoring tools, e.g. nagios, cacti;
Experience with kickstart maintenance and implementation;
Knowledge of hardware and software installation, testing, and operation; knowledge of application of computer software for automating highly diverse business unit/organization activities;
Cobbler (Server installation via PXE)
Setup / Installation of DNS servers: BIND, PowerDNS;
Rack and stack servers;
Good knowledge of hardware replacement (SCSI / SAS / SATA / motherboard / memory / processor / etc.) ;
Network cable and fiber installation ;
