Duties and Responsibility:
Work with a team of developers, reporting to the Engineering Manager
Work with Engineering Manager and Architect to design and implement major medium and long-term architecture changes
Produce detailed design specifications, including test benchmarks. These specifications might require multiple versions for development, QA/Support, and end users
Write test-driven, documented code
Strong individual initiative
Able to interface and work with customers when escalation occurs
Required Skills:
7+ years of experience in Java
Java J2EE or equivalent experiences. Particular emphasis on (highest to lowest priority)
— Multi-threaded/Scalable programming
— REST/SOAP/Web based development
— JSP/Web Based UI/JQuery
— Spring JPA/Hibernate
— Spring
Cloud computing, clustering and high availability design and implementation
Strong concurrency and multithreaded skills
Strong database and SQL skills
Information Storage and Retrieval skills, especially in a distributed environment
Knowledge of SOLR a strong plus
Self-motivated; able to work both in a team environment and on own
Working knowledge of basic build and test frameworks such as JUNIT, ANT, MAVEN, JENKINS
Proficient in verbal and written English
Assets:
