SOSCuisine.com is a breakthrough Meal & Grocery Planning service. The number of users is growing
steadily and, currently, some 250 000 Canadian families are using the service on a weekly basis.
SOSCuisine.com provides smart menu suggestions that match the users’ personal preferences to the local
availability of fresh products and supermarket specials.
The service is being further developed to address the needs of people with medical conditions influenced
by food, such as diabetes, heart condition and others. SOSCuisine.com will be the 1st service to offer the
complete set of features required for this application. This will also initiate a product leadership role for
non-medical applications.

You’re way beyond cutting your teeth with PHP (object oriented PHP4) and MySQL/XHTML/CSS/Javascript.
You have practical knowledge of the SVN version control system or equivalent (CVS, Rational ClearCase,
etc.), and of UML.

A keen interest in the subject matter: Food/Nutrition/Health. An ability to communicate in both French
and English. An experience with the Apache Web Server and UNIX/Linux environments. As well as an
ability to type with your feet (twice as efficient!).

You will re-invent how nutrition reaches out to people, by evolving the SOSCuisine.com website through
the development of new features, and maintenance and improvements of existing features:
 Doing the top-down requirements analysis from the business objectives
 Doing the detailed design of deliverables in accordance with functional specifications. Document the
design specifications when required.
 Programming the features and interfaces of deliverables, in accordance with internal technical
standards. Document the code and test specifications.
 Delivering the developed code via a version control system, where each developer has his own
branch.
 Testing deliverables produced by other developers.
 Integrating your own deliverables as well as those developed by the other developers.
